It can be simple: snapchat videos, random memory sharing over text, FaceTime, quarterly coffee dates, or game night every few months. Do your best to be there for your friends. If you feel disconnected, don’t be scared to reach out. Everyone appreciates love, even out of the blue!

While you may lose a few commonalities over time with people, we can all relate to getting older! Enjoy our Honey no, getting old edition. Listen to our favorite boss babes and girl crushes. Feeling Disconnected? Tips to reconnect with an old friend!

  1. Message a friend. If you haven’t heard from a friend in a while, reconnect and text message them! It’s never too late to reach out and say, “I miss you.”
  2. Grab coffee, go to a workout class or meet for drinks. Most of us have a morning beverage or drinks after work. Try to squeeze in a quick 45 minute meet up before work or after the kids go to bed! Can’t squeeze that in? Go for a walk, spin class, or yoga together! Two for one deal and you can chat in the car if you carpool!!!
  3. Make an effort. Sometimes, life is overwhelming. If you are feeling disconnected, reach out to your pals and let them know you haven’t forgot about them, you are just taking a life break to get caught up through a snapchat or text.
  4. Phone call or FaceTime! Sometimes the only time we have is when we are driving or right before bed after dinner is done and kids are in bed. Pick up the phone instead of TV one night. It doesn’t even have to be a long call!
  5. Be honest. Tell people you love them or that you are thinking about them. Letting others know how you feel when you feel it will ensure they never wonder where y’all stand!
  6. Take a walk down memory lane. Find an old memory and share it with a person you are thinking about. This is fun to do will old friends, new friends and friends you haven’t seen in ages, but are thinking about them!

Ep 5: Thanksgiving & Shopping

EP 5: Thanksgiving & Shopping

This week’s Latte Lesson is all about a pour over. We recommend just paying for a pour over should you choose this method of brewing. Lot’s of tools, lots of time, and lots of technique needed for this one! It was fun to explore, but the french press is where it’s at! In the coffee convos, maybe after hearing our old and new traditions you may want to make a few changes to your family plans. We will share some important tips for having a successful thanksgiving whether its sitting at grandma’s house taking naps or at the bar playing drinking games. Our short week has us motivated to get us where we want to be: surrounded by friends, family, and food to kick off the most giving time of year. Speaking of giving, have you heard of Giving Tuesday? Tune in to motivate you to live your best life and inspire you to give more than you receive!

Segments you’ll hear today, Our Intention, Latte Lesson, Coffee Convos on Thanksgiving, Black Friday, Small Biz Saturday, Cyber Monday, and Giving Tuesday, Honey No, Vinyaasssa Vibes, and Media Monday. Check out our Insta stories to follow up on our discussions. Empty cup, that’s what’s up! bye Bye BYE!

5 Thanksgiving Tips

  1. Start taking a probiotic now! Keep that tummy happy!
  2. Don’t talk politics. Skip polarizing topics.
  3. Do plan for Christmas. Draw secret saints, pick a time and place, and decide who’s in charge of what food! It’s all about the food!
  4. Don’t stress. It’s the season of giving and spending time with those you love. While we know it’s busy, be in the moment as much as you can.
  5. Do put your phone away. We are always running from place to place, checking social media, and working our time away. Take this time to enjoy the memories you are making, even among all the hustle and bustle!

6 Shopping Tips

  1. Buy a “Honey No” mug! DM your order via Instagram! We will ship mugs in time for Christmas gifts!!!
  2. Get those newspapers out with family and friends. It’s a tradition and it’s fun!
  3. Have a plan and make a list. You will stay on task and budget this way.
  4. Skip Black Friday and shop on Small Business Saturday and Cyber Monday. You can’t go wrong supporting a local business or getting free shipping to beat the chaos and cold.
  5. GIVING TUESDAY CHALLENGE – on our Giving Tuesday post, tag a non-profit or group you want to give back to. Tag 2-3 friends to challenge to encourage the giving and spread awareness. Make sure to make a post on your page too! Tag us on your post so we can talk about all the pod and keep the good going. Giving Tuesday is the gift that keeps on giving because you give back and then gift it in someone else’s name. You will never regret this type of shopping!
  6. The best gift you can give is time. Put your phone away, be in the moment, and even volunteer. Getting involved and active is better than any shopping trip!

Episode Four: Cold Brew, Cleaning and Clutter Be Gone

This week’s Latte Lesson is all about cold brew. We dive in a little deeper into coffee making fun with the cold brew, which is a bit more of a commitment than the french press. Lit’s fresh find may ease the transition a bit because Nay Nay found cold brew isn’t as fast of the turn around we usually seek in coffee. The tripod will dive into cleaning our homes, a few products we like to use, “crunchy” cleaning tips, getting organized, and decluttering. We give you a peek into what we like, don’t like, wish we could do and tips to take away to find what works best for you. You definitely need to listen to the whole ep, sorry we went a little long, but you won’t want to miss the real housewives of Clinton County story we had to share. Per usual, may our podcast motivate you to live your best life!

Segments you’ll hear today, Our Intention, Latte Lesson, Coffee Convos on cleaning and organizing, Honey No, Vinyaasssa Vibes, Fresh Finds and Song of the Day. Check out our Insta stories to follow up on our discussions. Empty cup, that’s what’s up! bye Bye BYE!

Cleaning Tips

  1. Homemade cleaning products! Find some great solutions/recipes here: https://earth911.com/living-well-being/health/cleaning-vinegar-baking-soda-lemon/.
  2. Use command hooks to hang your pot and pan lids on the inside of cabinet doors. It’s a way to keep this space tidy and organized.
  3. We love Norwex products. Give them a try for some amazing antibacterial cleaning and no chemical cleaning.
  4. If there is one thing you should clean often it’s the toilet, all counter tops and the kitchen sink!
  5. Robotic vacuums are a life-changing, life-hack!
  6. A cleaning person will revolutionize your life. Get back the most precious thing there is, time to do all the other million things that need to be done! We know it’s an investment, however you will not regret it. Think of it like a gym class or a massage, it’s self care!

Organization Tips

  1. Organize your closet by season and by occasion (i.e. work, sporting, dressy, casual, tanks, dress pants, etc.)
  2. Cycle and rotate your clothing sections. Basically, pull a garment from the front of the clothing section time. If you wear something, move it to the back of the line. After a season changes, if you have sever things at the front of the section that you never even cycled, it may be time to remove some items.
  3. Purchase clear, small boxes from the dollar store and put your shoes in them. You can stay organized and see your options.
  4. Use decretive hooks to pick out a weeks worth of outfits. This will save you time and keep you organized through your week. Mom tip: do this for your kids too! We know they may change their mind, but on the days they don’t, you are winning!
  5. Organizers are key for any area: closets, bathrooms or drawers! Consider space saver bags, clear boxes, clear baskets, and sectioned containers. You can find lot’s of options at target, ikea or the container store.
  6. Clear storage bins are the best way to go. They hold a lot, are stackable and you can see everything inside if you need quick identification.
  7. Add efficient storage solutions like drawers for cabinets to organize the crazy Tupperware/pyrex drawer or small baskets for inside cabinets to keep lids out of the way and in order.
  8. Consider an app, like cam scanner, or online company websites to help organize paperwork and get it off your counter tops. Not only are most things accessible online, but its “crunchy” to go green. Go paperless (sometimes companies even off go green discounts, perks or paybacks)!
  9. One in one out system. This works for cloths, blankets, decorations, etc. If you get something new, something’s got to go!
  10. Doing a deep clean twice a year will help keep you on your toes. Picking up regularly vs a binge clean will ensure your home looks and feels so fresh and so clean all year round.
